RUTA DEL MODERNISME
Barcelona is famous for many things, but it´s architecture is definitely the most impressive. Besides Gaudí, the most famous architect of all, others such as Domenéch i Montaner and Puig i Cadafalch made Barcelona what it is today – the capital of Modernisme.
In order to offer you an exciting look at the fascinating history behind the Modernism, the city hall of Barcelona and Ruta Del Modernisme are bringing you the 5th edition of the Modernism Route, which enables you to get to see and learn more about the incredible houses, palatial residences and even a huge hospital that have ensured Barcelona of its affiliation with Modernism. You will also get to learn more about the more subtle forms of Modernism, such as the chemist´s shops, benches and lampposts – all in all 120 works. To see if a full list of these works, click here. - Mercat de la Boqueria (the famous market on Las Ramblas)
- Palau Güell
- Gran Teatre Liceu (the beautiful theater, also on Las Ramblas)
- Casa Mila (also known as La Pedrera)

- Casa de la Lactáncia (the newly restored Nursing Mother´s House)
- CosmoCaixa (the science museum, especially interesting for children)
