SWAN LAKE BALLET
The immortal ballet of Swan Lake will be performed at the Teatre Tivoli from 17 – 26 April by the Moscow Ballet company.
Composed by Tchaikovsky between 1875 and 1876, this world-famous ballet tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer. However many critics dispute the origin of the Swan Lake story and argue whether the story is of Russian or German origin. Either way, it was a highly inspirational project for Tchaikovsky, who wanted to finish writing Swan Lake as soon as possible so that he could start an opera.
Tickets range from between €25 – €39 and more information about the other events taking place at Tivoli Theatre can be found on the website of Tivoli theatre.
