One of the great things about living in Spain is the love for food that the culture embraces. Barcelona is no stranger to international cuisine and there are so many great options to try cuisine from countries that you would probably never have the chance to visit. If you´ve ever searched for some of these restaurants, you´ve probably come across websites like eltenedor.es that offer discounts and reviews by other diners on some of the best places in Barcelona. Until 6h of October they are offering 50% discount at 300 different restaurants if you book online. You need to register on their site to make reservations, but its worth the effort if you are a culinary cohort.

Who says you have to go to Munich to enjoy Oktoberfest? For those who enjoy a good, cold German beer, delicious traditional Bavarian food and lively polka band music, from this Friday 4th October until Sunday 13 October you can enjoy the Barcelonian rendition of this world famous festival. The festival will be taking place at Plaza Universo (Fira Barcelona) and entrance is free. Opening times are 17h00 – 02H00 during the week and from mid-day until 02h00 on the weekends.

Contemporary art is a funny thing – you either love it or you hate it. For those who love it, and are able to see behind what appears on the first instance, there is a great exhibition from Thursday 3 October until Sunday 6 October called SWAB. Around 45 international art galleries from around the world will be showcasing their best works, and will give a very good insight into what is currently happening in the world of contemporary art. It stands to reason that Barcelona was chosen as the location for this event, with all the local talent and the rich history of this art form that was made famous by Spanish legends such as Picasso.
